Your Results are a Mirror
When did you last feel things getting heavy, slow, or just not like your normal self? In that moment, without you even noticing, someone around you probably didn’t meet your usual standards. It wasn’t quite right, and it wasn’t up to their usual standards either, but that one day, I didn’t pull them up on it. I let it go.
That is the exact moment the rot sets in. Once becomes once a week, then once a day, and suddenly everyone else is doing the same. It isn’t because they are bad people; it is because that has become the new standard. In that moment, I was the chicken. I backed away from the difficult conversation and allowed the standards to slip. It only takes one person to blame something else instead of taking accountability to turn a professional operation into a farmyard.
I am getting brutally honest about how one small drop in standards, just once, can change everything. Your results are a mirror of what you are willing to tolerate.
